OMG!!

I just wrote a dark moment in THE SPIDER PRINCE that has me tearing up.  I won't spoil it for y'all, but I just had to get that off my chest.  The Spider is one messed up guy.  But we romance authors love redeeming messed up guys.  :P

Wow.  I can't believe he just DID that.  And in front of the whole caravan, too.  I know, I'm such a tease.

THE VIPER PRINCE is Coming August 18th!

Get ready, folks! Book I of my Desert Princes of Jikkar, THE VIPER PRINCE, is coming to Carnal Passions on August 18th.  I don't have a cover yet, but I'll be getting one in the next few days. I absolutely cannot WAIT!!

I love this series so much, that I hope you love it just as much as I do.  My princes are so much different than anything I've ever done, and in a mere six months, I've almost written the entire series.  But I open it with the Viper, one smokin' hot hottie!

QUOTE OF NOTE:

“Perhaps I must change your punishment. Perhaps you do not yet understand you must bow to my will.”

It's coming soon, folks.  Keep your eyes open!  You definitely do NOT want to miss Tariq Sayed, Viper Prince of the Golden Desert...

Wow, SPIDER is Writing Himself!

Hey everyone, been writing like mad on the fourth book in my Desert Princes story, THE SPIDER PRINCE. This one had practically been writing itself. I love this book so much! I'm already on page 75. Can you believe that?! Well, maybe not, considering how fast the others were written.

Man, I only have four planned books. Once this one is finished, what am I going to do with myself? LOL Been pondering writing a book for the Jackal Prince. I may or may not add a fifth book to this series, depending if I have a good plot for him. Oh who am I kidding? If I didn't write one for him, I'm pretty sure my fans would revolt. :P

Maybe this is an opportunity for fan fic? Heheheh....

I have finished FALCON!

THE FALCON PRINCE is finished! Woohoo!! This book is about 240 pages long and around 45K in length. A little shorter than the other two, but not by much.

I've even written the blurb, which went through many incarnations. :P If you'd like to read it, you can click on the FALCON page above, or click on this link:

Yeehaw, I'm just so excited to be done with it! Now, I need to write a synopsis, polish the manuscript, see if it needs editing and/or cutting and/or fluffage. Then it's onward to THE SPIDER PRINCE. Awesome. I've been brainstorming Spider's book like nobody's business. I'm not ashamed to say the Spider might just be my favorite prince...

THE FALCON PRINCE is Almost Finished!

I have a few thousand words yet to go, but FALCON is almost finished. It's about that time to write a synopsis, blurb, and a logline for this one. It's going to be somewhat shorter than the previous two books that clocked in at 50K (VIPER) and 52K (SCARAB). Currently, FALCON is only 42K in comparison. Should be finished between 45-47K. I guess that's not too far behind the others. I'm not necessarily worrying that they all should be the same length rather than the same-ish length.

I've learned long ago not to force a story if it's only so many words long. We authors sometimes get caught up in making series books all the same length. (Or is that just me...? LOL) But in reality, readers don't care. As long as it's a good book, they'll snatch it up and read it.

So I will not obsess. Much. Heheh

I should get this one finished within the coming days. I'll most likely go back through it and edit it, either rewording some things, cutting others, or inserting scenes. Basically I write the bare bones project, then go through it and improve it before submission.

I must say I'm exceptionally pleased with this book, as I haven't given the Falcon or his heroine a nice easy road to their HEA. I think readers will be more interested to read the bumps and twists of their budding love rather than the scenes with the villain. Why? Well, because the Falcon was horribly scarred at one point in his life. He has scars all over him, and it's very hard for him to open up to anyone. Watching him slowly come out of his shell and finally succumb to the woman he loves is a very fulfilling read as well as very fulfilling to write. So we shall see how it reads once it's finished.

I'll keep you posted!
